Meadow Wood Manor Wedding Photographer: Jacquie & Vincent’s Halloween Wedding

Jacquie and Vincent’s Halloween wedding was 100% original, from her black couture wedding gown to the neon green Dodge Challenger limo to tricky table assignments written in invisible ink that can only be read via jack-o-lantern.  Jacquie and Vince have always *loved* Halloween– he even proposed to her at the Asbury Park Zombie Walk.  Every wedding detail was covered creatively and with Halloween spirit, from the bridal party’s surprise “thriller” dance moves to glow-in-the-dark fangs for guests and whimsical spiders crawling up the wedding cake. You have never seen a wedding like this before…meadow-wood-manor-wedding-photographer-2012meadow-wood-manor-wedding-photographer-2022meadow-wood-manor-wedding-photographer-2032

You may remember these neon green zombie shoes from their engagement photos.

Always liking a good trick/treat, check out this surprise, the ceiling for the Dodge Challenger… love the bridesmaids’ reactions:

“All I Ask of You” from Phantom of the Opera was played while guests were seated within Meadow Wood Manor

While their wedding is playful and fun, Jacquie and Vince’s dedication to each other is very deep and sincere, they wrote their own vows which were charming and uniquely “them”

One of the most clever elements of the evening… table assignments were written in invisible ink that can only be read via black-light

(by placing one’s hand in the mouth of the jack-o-lantern!!!):

The table numbers were actually classic movie monsters and required guests to re-call characters including Dracula & the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man:

During Jacquie and VJ’s first dance, the music cut, the lights went totally out, guests thought there was a power outage, but when the lights went back on the bridal party was all out on the dance floor wearing masks and they were all dancing to “Thriller” the guests were completely awestruck, it was a huge hit:

Trick Jelly Beans: Jacquie and VJ got their guests involved in the fun, rather than clinking glasses to get them to kiss, guests had to try their luck with jelly beans, while there were normal flavors in the jar, there were also unpleasant flavors, too:  earwax, skunk, etc…

Guests wore black with pops of bright colors and lots of lace, so perfect for the event:

More guest involvement– filling up the wine flutes with money to “vote” on who should get cake in the face, Jacquie or VJ… when the money was counted Jacquie was ahead by roughly $100, so…

Along with cake, guests were also given goodie bags to fill with “twisted treats” gummy toads and worms and other assorted candies

Rather than tossing a bouquet Jacquie tossed a “frog prince” in memory of her grandfather who was affectionately called this by her grandmother:

A total side note here…  one of my favorite parts about going to weddings is seeing clients from past years there—I photographed Amanda and Nelson’s engagement, wedding and maternity photos (left- Jacquie’s sister) and Nathalie & Michael’s wedding and engagement (right-Jacquie’s cousin).
