Great news! A brand new wedding venue is opening in central pennsylvania *this weekend*!!! It is chic, modern, sophisticated & you can check it out here:
I just finished working on images for their promotional materials (as I am thier preferred wedding photographer) and thought I’d give all of you a sneak peek into “The Bond at York”— so exciting!!!
The Bond is a very unique wedding venue– it is chic, sophisticated, modern, urban and can be used as a “blank canvas” with beautiful, natural light and a cute downtown space surrounding it.
You can see the light in these past two images and how versatile and flexible the space and look can be, even with the same couple in the same space, I am able to create very different looks. 😉
The whole atmosphere fits seamlessly into my candid, creative, personalized photography style and is really the type of unique space that I can see many of my couples enjoying, too.
I am thrilled to have had a first hand look at this space, thanks to Steve, Abby and the rest of The Bond team with the JDK group, who are currently managing the the Bond event space.
They reached out to me and other top-notch local vendors (yes there is a full list at the end of this blog post) as well as newlyweds, Melanie & Matt, about helping to show what a wedding day would look like in The Bond.
Here Melanie standing in the space where she would be waiting to walk down the aisle, she is naturally lit by floor to ceiling windows, accented with custom chandeliers– giving an overall feel of romantic, urban elegance…
This next image features the large windows and exposed brick which exist throughout the venue.
These windows bring in tons of beautiful natural light and are located throughout the Bond. Natural light is a real plus for wedding photos, and can help brides to breathe a sign of relief if they are concerned about rain as natural light can be photographed in the Bond rain or shine.
This space is really a blank canvas and can take on many “looks” but here you can see the romantic decor and detailing provided by the JDK group, including florals by Bill Murphy, who is also with the JDK group.
The ceremony and reception space contain several large chandeliers which can give the space an elegant, timeless, romantic aesthetic…
I was able to find plenty of indoor opportunities for naturally lit, romantic images & portraits…
There is plenty of outdoor space as well. The Bond is the cornerstone of the Royal Square in downtown York, Pennsylvania, so surrounding the 10,000 square foot space of the Bond is a lovely downtown space to explore.
Taking some time out of your wedding day to be together and enjoy the moment and let it all sink in is always part of my photography approach, but having this neighborhood space to use is really cool…
We walked along the blossom lined streets, popped in a cute coffee shop and photographed some sweet, candid images of the couple…
These brightly colored doors caught my attention, too but there was really plenty for me to work with…
We headed back into the Bond here the reception was completely ready to go. They had a hand-painted, mirrored menu, stunning florals, beautiful tables, linens and chiavari chairs among their sparkling chandeliers…
We ended the session with an elegant first dance with the early evening sunlight streaming through the windows.
I hope this gave you a feel for this unique new venue and a little bit of a feel for what I would be able to do with this space as your wedding photographer ;). As promised, here is the list of vendors who came together to work on this shoot…
