Sara and Collin’s Arts Ballroom Philadephia wedding featured downtown Philadelphia and included family members of all ages from adorable nieces and nephews to immediate family and Grandparents. These joyful Philaphia physicians were looking for vibrant, authentic moments, and I believe this image in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art is just that!
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Collin explained, “Lisa photographed my brother’s wedding. Mike was so impressed with your passion as a photographer and shared an incredible photo of him and his wife that is actually hanging in their living room now!”
Sara shared, “I knew I wanted someone who loved their work and was excited about the photos they took. When we spoke I felt instantly comfortable- you got my nerdy jokes which is always a plus and we both knew you were a match for us.”
They add, “We appreciated Lisa’s flexibility throughout our multiple postponements due to COVID, as well as her artistic input for our engagement photos and on the day of our wedding. We are hoping to see elegant photos with the city in which we fell in love in the background.”
Arts Ballroom Philadelphia Wedding Preparations
I love this photo of Sara admiring her wedding dress. You can also see the gorgeous reception area in this photo:
Meet the Beautiful Bride!
Collin shares, “Sara is intelligent, beautiful, and has the best sense of humor. We are always able to have fun doing even the most mundane things.”
The Handsome Groom!
Sara smiles, “I’m pretty sure Collin fell in love with me at first sight but was too shy to admit it. After months of exchanging memes and sharing our dry and dark humor, he finally asked me on our first date and the rest is history. I knew he was “the one” early on when he made me brownies and I’m reminded of how lucky I am daily as we continue to grow together in our relationship and marriage. Collin can light up any room he’s in and I’m grateful to always have him by my side.”
Arts Ballroom Philadelphia Wedding First Look
Collin shares, “Our wedding reception day was a very different experience, as we have already been married for over a year. We were able to have a stress-free day that allowed us both to enjoy the little things a bit more.
Sara shares, “We had the opportunity to do our wedding twice and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. The ceremony was intimate and beautiful and I will never forget our first first look. This reception, which happened to fall on our one-year anniversary, was a wonderful reminder of our vows to each other.”
They officially married last year despite the pandemic and used this year’s wedding day to be able to have the big celebration they dreamed of. Even though they opted out of a ceremony, they still had a first look which was so sweet. 🙂 Keep scrolling to see Collin’s reaction, it’s so him:
An Emotional Day to Celebrate
Including Collin’s grandmother in some way was very important to him. You can tell here that the feeling is absolutely mutual.
I love how the black and white of this photo shows the emotion:
A Familiar Wedding Party…
I loved working with this fun (and familiar) wedding party! If scrolling through my blog you feel like you see familiar faces, that is often the case! Just like Collin’s brother, Mike, had me photograph his wedding, many people find me through word of mouth as I don’t really advertise anymore.
In this case, I’ve actually photographed four of these faces previously!
Strike a Pose!
Taking the time to pose everyone Vogue-style and bring out their inner supermodel is something I love to do!
Downtown Philadelphia Romantic Wedding Photos
Sara & Collin share, “Some of our favorite places to visit in Philadelphia include city hall during Christmas and the Art Museum in the fall and spring. They are some of our most memorable spots and we are so happy to have wedding photos taken there!”
Subtly, City Hall 😉
Beautiful Minds
These Philadelphia physicians are two of the brightest and most joyful people I have had the pleasure of photographing, and I’ve photographed a lot of people!
Arts Ballroom Philadelphia Wedding Reception
Sara & Collin share, “While we ended up seeing 12 or 13 venues we ultimately fell in love with The Arts Ballroom as soon as we saw it. We met during residency at the University of Pennsylvania and got engaged in Rittenhouse Square. We spent most of our days together exploring center city, so getting married in the city was important to us.”
They continue, “The Arts Ballroom provided us with a central location with a beautiful and elegant interior. We loved the vaulted ceilings, open spaces, and the grand staircase. The staff was also absolutely amazing and accommodating during the pandemic with postponements.”
Packed Dance floor at The Arts Ballroom
I love to take a step back from the action to capture the whole scene. This gives me a chance to see the couple’s and guests’ emotions. Look how happy everyone is. 🙂
Celebrating with Family & Friends
Sara shares, “Our initial plans were totally changed because of the pandemic so this reception was important for us to share with our family and close friends. We were so excited to finally celebrate with everyone.”
Photo Booth Fun!
Just look at the flower girl’s reaction. 🙂 Photo booths are such a fun addition to wedding receptions.
Thunderstruck!!
A Feduska wedding tradition is the Thunderstruck game. The entire group forms a circle, and each time the word thunderstruck is sung by the band AC/DC, the next person or pair starts to chug. I had the privilege of photographing this craziness before at Collin’s brother’s wedding, and was quite looking forward to it this year. I think Collin outdid himself, haha!
Kicking Off Viennese Hour Gatsby Style!
A champagne tower, what a fun way to kick off Viennese hour!
Want s’more?
Best Day Ever!
Sara & Collin share, “We are so grateful we had the opportunity to finally celebrate our wedding – it was not the most traditional, or what we had initially planned, it was a memorable evening and our unique story. We wouldn’t have had it any other way!
