Pam and Jeff’s Omni Bedford Springs wedding was classic and elegant with a modern twist. For starters, Pam & Jeff’s children walked them down the aisle and the dance floor was home to a *balloon sword fight* and *epic concert-style lighting*, the traditions were heart-felt and tear-filled. The joy of these two and their loved ones was overflowing.
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Pam & Jeff share, “We wanted someone to capture the real and spontaneous moments of our wedding mostly through candid shots rather than missing our cocktail hour & celebration with our family and friends. We felt Lisa had that touch and took the time to understand how we wanted to document our day. With the proven experience she provided great advice and worked hard to capture each moment that made our day special.”
They continue, “Through Lisa’s eyes, our happiness comes through in each photo and documents our love for each other as well as our family.”
Omni Bedford Springs Wedding Preparations
Jeff shares, “The engagement ring represents the story of ‘US’: Pam, Me, and our kids. On each side of the ring, there are two columns encased in diamonds representing each of our four children. The two diamonds that are centered between the Celtic symbol of infinite friendship and love represent the two of us, and the center diamond symbolizes our bond as ONE.”
I love how much symbolism Pam’s wedding ring holds! Keep scrolling to see the look of awe Pam’s mom has as she watches her get dressed. 🙂
Those BLUE Eyes!!
Jeff shares, “Pam was absolutely stunning on our wedding day. While her eyes have always been stunning and are the deepest blue, it is the brightness that shines from her eyes that makes her special. The world is simply a better place through her eyes. You feel and see love.”
A Venue That Felt Like Home
Pam shares, “The quiet simpleness of the venue, and its placement between the mountains was very peaceful and reminiscent to where I grew up. That was the exact vibe we were seeking for our wedding day. Sitting on the upper porch in a rocking chair at Omni Bedford Springs just felt like home.”
Escorted by Their Children
Jeff shares, “Our children are very special to each of us. We have worked hard to extend our love and support to each other’s kids, knowing that it isn’t always easy to see a parent remarry. Our kids see our love and they know it extends to them. Having them each walk us down the aisle was special. It was a way for them to participate, feel part of this new life while still allowing them the dignity of staying true to their heritage.”
Him by his girls, her by her boys– such a perfect pairing!
Tears of Joy
Jeff shares, “All of our tears were tears of joy. Knowing we are creating a family bigger than ourselves whose love adds and never detracts. Our kids feel it, our family feels it and our friends feel it as well.’
Omni Bedford Springs Wedding Ceremony
Pam smiles, “Finding the perfect dress took months and multiple visits to several bridal salons. The Middleburg Bride is where I finally found my perfect dress. The small details of embroidered flowers, butterflies, and dragonflies sewed into the lace brought a simple elegance that wasn’t overstated.”
Constitution Hall is a gorgeous indoor ceremony location at Omni! The neutral decor lets Pam’s stunning dress shine. 🙂
Heartfelt Moments
Pam shared, “The pandemic made our wedding journey a roller coaster of emotions. Our wedding day was overwhelmingly emotional, having our family joining our celebration right by our side.”
Omni Bedford Springs Wedding Portraits
Pam & Jeff share, “We have professionally known each other and worked together for many years. After our working relationship ended, we ran into each other at a happy hour and decided to reconnect over lunch where there was a spark. Through friendship and mutual admiration for each other, that great friendship slowly became this passionate love affair. We believe anyone who knows us, sees how much we like each other and how that is a great foundation for a marriage. Our kids absolutely see two people who love, respect, support, and most of all enjoy being around each other.”
These two have such a beautiful love story. I felt so lucky to have the privilege of capturing their love in the portraits below:
Omni Bedford Springs Wedding
Jeff smiles, “Omni reminded both of us of our childhoods. The mountains, the hotel, and the staff provided a sense of warmth and home that made it a place we wanted to start our married life. We had vacationed there before and it just felt right to us. The location, the amenities, and the peace that comes with the quiet you experience rocking the evening way. We have taken fishing excursions, bike rides and enjoyed just talking while the sun fades over the mountains. ”
Omni Bedford Springs is one of my favorite wedding venues! I enjoy every opportunity I get to work here. As the seasons change, there are always such unique differences to photograph, including the patriotic banners and rushing fountain here:
Omni Bedford Springs Veranda Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour is a great way to see the benefits of having two photographers on your wedding day. Here, my second photographer, Kris, was able to capture the talking and laughing during cocktail hour while at the same time, I was able to take a few family photos.
Party of Six– Vogue Style
Pam shared, “One of my favorite photos from the day is the serious photo of all four kids with Jeff & I.”
I loved that they could go from serious supermodels to goofballs in ten seconds flat!
Omni Bedford Springs Wedding Reception
Pam & Jeff celebrated their marriage in the beautiful Colonnade Ballroom.
How Sweet It Is!!
Isn’t their cake so pretty!? It had a fun, pink hombre effect. They gave each other a taste, keep scrolling for Pam’s reaction…
Heartfelt Speeches
Jeff shares, “We are extremely lucky to have family that wanted to get up and say a few words. They all take a little credit in ‘creating’ Pam and me finding each other. The kids did a great job of accepting us into their lives and showing that they are truly happy that we are happy.”
I love that Pam & Jeff gave their children the opportunity to speak at their wedding and that they held hands throughout the speeches. Take a closer look and you can see some of the gourmet horsedevoirs served by the Omni Bedford Springs Resort…
Golf Ball Karma
Jeff says, “We had a little fun playing a round of golf the morning of the wedding, and my uncle Ed found the golf ball that I shanked out of bounce. To find a golf ball that I shanked with my old company’s name on it was just spot on. CACI is where Pam and I first met almost 20 years ago!! It was certainly karma using that in his speech!!”
If you look closely, you can see Pam & Jeff laughing in the background:
Balloon Swordfight
Pam & Jeff share, “The Star Wars reenactment- WOW! There’s no better way to describe it other than SPECTACULAR! A spur of the moment decision, (led by Pam’s great-nephew Zachary) engaged in a well-choreographed ensemble with (Pam’s son) Ryleigh using balloon swords of all things!”
They continue, “‘Zack’s Duel,’ a reenactment of a Star Wars fight scene using swords made by a random vendor who happened to be in the hotel lobby making them for kids. They somehow convinced the DJ (Bryan Detwiler-Big Dog Sound) to change the playlist to the Star Wars fight music and reenacted the scene, bringing all of the youngsters and Star War fans out of their seats.”
Getting down in the Colonnade ballroom
Pam & Jeff’s guests sure knew how to break it down on the dance floor! Keep scrolling to see their awesome moves:
The Little Life of the Party
Pam shares, “Just like my great-nephew Zachary, his daughter (my great, great niece) Charlie steals the hearts of everyone with her infectious smile, energy, and love for music and dance.”
Epic Dancefloor Lighting & a Little Hard Rock
Pam shares, “Sad to see the night end, the last song was a last-minute decision made by me to close out the night like none other!”
I love that Pam chose a nontraditional hard rock song to end the night!
Surrounded by Love
Pam explained, “Feeling loved is just as important as loving someone.” Jeff added, “I know we both ‘feel’ loved by the other!”
They agreed, “Love always shows up right on time and our love blended and extended our family, whether biological or otherwise.”
I love this big group shot at the end that shows how happy all their guests were to be celebrating Pam & Jeff’s big day with them! Keep scrolling to see some end of the night shots:
