A dog who smiles for the camera, a beautiful red oak, and this adorable couple made this Gettysburg Engagement session such a treat!
Who Let the Dog Out? 😉
Tara laughs, “Our dog is a big part of our lives and he’s always smiling! The fact that we were able to capture that is amazing!”
I swear he IS smiling! You can check out some of my tips for including your dog in your engagement session. (yes their pup makes the post!)
Tara & Tom
Tom shares, “Tara and I make each other laugh and know each other’s quirks. I can be my true self around her and really love that about our relationship.  She makes me a better person and brings out the best version of me.”
Tara continues, “Tom is super supportive. The way he encourages me and hypes me up. I can be my completely goofy self around him and we are able to feed off each other’s energy, which always results in a good laugh. Tom makes me feel so safe and secure.”Â
I love how well you can see that here:
Gettysburg Engagement Photographer
Tara says, “We both knew we wanted to have engagement photos taken on the Gettysburg battlefield, and liked the idea of Devil’s Den.”
She adds, “We both enjoy history and the fact that the location is deeply rooted in American history. We moved to Gettysburg early on in our relationship and plan on raising our family here so it was important for us to incorporate Gettysburg into our photos.“
Tara continues, “Tom and I don’t go out of our way to take many photos of ourselves so being able to take this time for just us and have amazing images to look back on in a special location is great! Earlier in the day it was raining and I was worried that our photos wouldn’t be as vibrant but I decided to just let go and the results speak for themselves.”
I have my way of stretching out the color that we have and love it when my couples trust me to do my thang ;).
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Tara shares, “Both Tom and I enjoyed how your photos really captured people’s emotions and even intimate moments in such a natural way. Nothing looked forced or awkward.”Â
Tom adds, “I love the fact that Lisa was able to guide us through the process and give helpful tips along the way. It really made the whole experience enjoyable.”Â
Look at these two– so natural! How awesome would this look on a canvas, guys?
The Proposal
Tara smiles, “Tom and I have always visited the battlefield and occasionally will ride our bikes. We always stop for water at this one particular spot and on this day we seemed to be lingering longer than normal. I thought nothing of it and at one point realized I left my phone in my bag so as I grabbed it and turned back around Tom was on his knee with the ring box in his hand. It was an immediate YES!”Â
