This vibrant Ashcombe Mansion Wedding united Vishu’s Indian heritage with Mallory’s traditions & included guests from all over the US & the world!
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Mallory shares, “I saw Lisa’s Instagram full of unique, artistic shots. I knew immediately she was the photographer for us! We wanted someone who would think outside the box, be creative, be able to photograph the moments and the action. Lots of people can take nice portraits, but Lisa’s creativity and ability to capture natural moments really set her apart.”
Vishu explained, “I really was looking for solid photos that I could enjoy in years to come. Creative photography that has great lighting, personality and a really unique look. I wanted a photographer that could lead the show, easily manage a ton of people, able to come up with her own ideas, and lead us when needed. Lisa did that, 100%!”
Meet the Groom
Since I only showed a bit of the bride and left the rest a mystery, I was so tickled when my second photographer, David, had similar inspiration from the groom. So pleased with his work here with Vishu. Roughly 10% of the photos in this blog are his.
Meet the Bride
Mallory is the stunningly beautiful bride in this Ashcombe Mansion Wedding. She is kind, strong, genuine, and such an authentic and down-to-earth person. Mallory has exquisite taste and style and was such a pleasure to photograph.
She was up for all of my wild ideas, even if they seemed a little off-beat, she jumped right in and was totally game!
Oh, hey, mama! Did I mention I love reflections and other dreamy elements that set the mood?
Willows at Ashcombe Mansion Wedding First Look
Mallory and Vishu were totally up for anything I had planned. I loved the idea of using the chandelier in this dreamy way for their first look. While I was going for capturing the feelings of intimacy and butterflies, my second photographer was up closer getting a different vantage point of the same scene.
Mallory laughs, “I was a nervous wreck the entire day, so the first look and the ceremony were a blur. I’m so glad Lisa was there to capture photos of it for us!”
Ashcombe Mansion Wedding Couple
Mallory says, “Vishu and I fell in love on our 1st date when he made me chicken biryani. We talked til the early hours of the morning, even though we both had to work the next day. We were inseparable from that day on.”
Mallory laughs, “OMG, I knew him from middle school! As adults, we love to travel and eat, we also like to chill/lounge (walks with the dog, that sort of thing). We also enjoy the beauty of nature or checking out a trendy new neighborhood. Most of all we enjoy each other’s company.“
Ashcombe Mansion Wedding Party Time!
I love to give my Ashcombe Mansion Wedding parties an eclectic variety of photographs. From traditional posed portraits to some that are more modern, like this editorially-inspired shot of the bridesmaids. Then this candid shot of the groomsmen where I got super creative and incorporated sun-flare, reflection, and a unique vantage point (gettin’ low;)) while incorporating the venue and incredible sky. For the final shot, we incorporated a little GQ into the Vanity Fair spread :).
Willows at Ashcombe Mansion Ceremony
Mallory shares, “We really wish Vishu’s mom could’ve been at the ceremony. She was deeply missed by all of the people in attendance.”
She adds, “It was difficult expressing my love for Vishu in front of a few hundred people. Vishu’s groomsmen kept telling him to hold my hand to calm me but Vishu refused because he knows me so well and so he knew that would only make me cry more!”
The ceremony was a very emotional one for everyone involved. Here Vishu’s dad looks over at her portrait, you can feel the emotion…
Golden Hour at The Willows at Ashcombe Mansion
Could there be a more beautiful place, time of day, or couple? Wow! I felt so fortunate to be here at golden hour, my favorite time to capture portraits!
Mallory smiles, “Golden hour was so beautiful. The peace and quiet after the ceremony and before the partying was much needed. I want to do it again!”
And we will, they have an after-session coming up here in a few months!
Why a Willows at Ashcombe Mansion Wedding?
Mallory says, “We chose Ashcombe Mansion because it was beautiful, luxurious, freshly renovated, and exactly the type of venue we imagined for our special day. We loved the interior design.”
As a photographer, I always enjoy working in the incredible Willows at Ashcombe Mansion in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania! I am so proud to be a preferred photographer for Ashcombe Mansion Weddings! It is such an incredible place and gives me a ton to work with creatively and so close to my home! It is my favorite new venue in Central Pennsylvania for sure!
Group Portraits at The Willows, too!
While I focus on creative, candid photos, I also make sure to take posed portraits, too, even large group shots. In this case, I wanted to show the fall colors, the mansion, and the whole group of Vishu’s family members.
Willows at Ashcombe Mansion Wedding Reception
Mallory says, “We had guests from all over the US! From Pittsburgh to Dallas, to Jacksonville, to San Francisco. We had family from India come too which was so special.”
Party Time at this Ashcombe Mansion Wedding in Mechanicsburg
Mallory says, “I think we were all ready to get down and dance the night away. The drinks were flowing and the DJ was amazing. We finally were able to relax and enjoy ourselves dancing the night away.”
I love that they embraced their cultures having Kilts and Saris in the same celebration! This is what weddings are all about and I love photographing color, movement, and diversity— this reception was basically heaven, a photography playground for me!
At the End of the Night
I knew I wanted to capture something special at the end of the night. At first, it appeared really overcast, like there wouldn’t be a sunset, so I told everyone, “yeah just don’t worry about it, there’s not really anything to shoot outside, just relax and enjoy your guests.”
Then, out of nowhere, this incredible sunset appeared, the sun just peeked out momentarily as it sank behind the mountains. I literally ran and got the couple and was like “we have maybe like 5 mins tops, are you in?” They jumped to it and so did the awesome videographer and bang, this photo!
Mallory smiles, “It was a great energy full of love and happiness.”
