Snow, Portuguese dancing and vibrant colors— you will love Alyssa & Brian’s Winter Palace Wedding in Somerset Park.
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Alyssa shares, “After searching through lists of photographers, we were unimpressed with their cookie-cutter approaches. We noticed that they all looked basically the same– the same poses, lighting, and backgrounds. As soon as we saw Lisa Rhinehart’s work, we looked at each other already knowing what the other was thinking– the search was over!”
She continues, “We were impressed immediately by Lisa’s work and both knew that the creativity Lisa had was exactly what we wanted for our special day. As soon as we met with Lisa, her down-to-earth personality made us both feel so at ease. We knew we could trust her expertise and just relax because we had nothing to worry about. What a treat that is for a wedding day!”
Winter Palace Wedding: First Look
A (Snow!) White Wedding Day is what dreams are made of for winter brides. It is something most winter brides want and seldom get– Alyssa & Brian were so lucky! It was so fun to play with that and include it in their photos. The blue sky really added to the icy feel too and made Alyssa’s eyes *pop*!
Why a Winter Wedding at The Palace at Somerset Park?
Alyssa says, “Our experience finding a venue was similar to finding a photographer. We scheduled meetings and went to every venue we thought had potential (which was a lot). Some of the well-known venues in our area turned out to be very disappointing. When we walked into The Palace we were immediately impressed!”
She continues, “The grand feeling that The Palace gave us was truly unique. It was clean and every single person that worked there was so pleasant and kind. We felt an instant connection. The Palace just made us feel like our wedding day would be truly special. They were willing to change or do anything to make our day all about us.”
Their love story…
Alyssa smiles, “We fell in love quite fast. Our personalities and values just clicked immediately. Over the years, as we learned more and more about each other, we only continued to grow closer together. We had such a strong trust and understanding between us that it was pure bliss. It’s been 12 years together now and we have grown so much as individuals and as a couple.”
She shares, “We both don’t really like attention so we put off having a wedding for some time. We focused on getting a house and stabilizing our lives together. Now that we are getting older, we started talking about plans to start our own family, so we decided to bite the bullet and finally get married, haha!”
Palace at Somerset Park Winter Wedding Ceremony
This ceremony was so lovely and their priest was so down-to-earth and kind! Everything was completely custom-tailored to them! I love working with vendors who share the same values!
Alyssa smiles, “Our officiant took months of questionnaires and meetings getting to truly know us before uniting us as one on our wedding day.”

Cocktails Hour at The Palace at Somerset Park
The Palace *kills* cocktail hour! This burger station was the cutest!
First Dance
I knew how much they liked the chandelier and wanted to show it off during their first dance.
I wanted you to first notice them and the chandelier and then all of their loved ones gathered around them.
Parent Dances
So much love– I love photographing families that are this close!
Here you can see them dancing with their parents, and check out how supportive their extended family is in the background!
Storytelling: Getting up close
The twins joined Alyssa and her dad for their first dance— so sweet!
Feel the Vibe of this Incredible Dance Party
Alyssa says, “Our wedding followed typical wedding traditions and added unique twists. We had a DJ, but the MC really hyped up the energy during the reception with props!”
This dance party was *incredible*! From the MC who seemed like a ring leader in a circus standing on the amp in front of the room, to all of the Portuguese dancing— this wedding was energy-packed! I tried to convey the vibe by using a technique that makes you feel almost tipsy and colorful with some motion blur!
End of the Night
Alyssa smiles, “The day of the wedding we knew we were well taken care of by everyone. We were able to let our stresses go and felt truly loved and supported by our friends, family, and all the vendors. The day went by so fast. We are so excited to embrace this new chapter in our lives as a married couple.”
The snow and the holiday lights were so fun to play with at the end of the night as a Winter Palace wedding photographer!
