❤️ 🎤 👸🏻 From high school Theater to working in her dad’s ice cream shop & enjoying the outdoors– Haven is outgoing and fun and was such a joy for me to work with, as a Shippensburg Photographer!
Haven shares, “On stage, I feel a sense of pride and joy— I get to do what I love. I push myself out of my comfort zone, while still being authentically myself Having leading roles has been so much fun for me! I have enjoyed playing different characters and made amazing memories with my best friends, too! I also try my best to set an example for younger kids because I know that I always looked up to the older actors when I started in theater.”
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Haven says, “My mom chose you because she thought that your photography was very unique. We think that your biggest strength is hearing a story and capturing the details of that story in your pictures. There were no surprises for me because you were so upfront in our initial meeting that I knew just what to expect!”
She added, “I like that there are so many different angles, poses, and backgrounds that I would never have thought of using in pictures.”
Capitol Theatre Downtown Chambersburg
Haven shares, “The Capitol Theatre is also special to me because I have had the opportunity to perform on that stage multiple times. Theatre and acting have been a very big part of my life. I love the details from the 1920s inside the theatre and the overall vibe.”
Shippensburg Photographer: Theatre
Haven recalls, “I have been acting since the age of 10. My first show was Guys and Dolls with Cumberland Valley School of Music. When I am on stage, I feel a sense of pride and joy because I get to do what I love. When everything comes together, I get very excited because it means that we are another step closer to showing the audience how hard we have worked.”
She smiles, “I always feel very proud of the entire cast and crew and feel a connection to them that is indescribable. My favorite role so far was Tanya in our production of Mamma Mia. I had so much fun playing her because her personality is sassy and edgy.”
Creative Photography Techniques: Crystal and Angles
I love to play, and playing behind the camera is one of my favorite things to do! Here I used crystals and different angles to create colors, reflections, and different aesthetics in the same space!
Out on the Street
Haven smiles, “I chose Downtown Chambersburg because I love walking around the beautiful, historic town and thrifting Downtown and going to different shops that pique my interest.”
She continues, “I am outgoing and fun, and love spending time with my friends exploring different places. I also love the outdoors and just enjoy the stillness and peace of nature. I have a lot of diverse interests which I think my outfits and locations show.”
Love this wall too, of course!
Haven shares, “I love incorporating lots of colors into my wardrobe. The red jumpsuit was a last-minute find and I feel that the red was perfect to match the theatre’s curtains and even the wall.”
Toto, we are not in Kansas anymore…
Maybe it’s because I’m just getting back from The Wiz, but I got some serious Dorothy vibes from this actress! I thought it would be fun to make this photo black-and-white like the beginning of The Wizard of Oz and then flip into full color for the rest of the pictures…
Haven says, “I have loved the Wizard of Oz since I was little and even got to be an Ozian in my middle school production of the Wizard of Oz!”
Haven shares, “I found the sundress and knew that I wanted to wear that in my outdoor shots. I love the ruffles at the bottom and the colorful flowers. I love that the dress is simple but still has those fun aspects to spice up my look.”
Vibrant Sunset Views
Speaking of full color, how about the sunset!! As a Shippensburg Photographer, I try to include a sunset photo at the end of every portrait session I shoot!
Goose Brothers Ice Cream
Haven smiles, “I have worked at Goose Bros since I was 14, but have been behind the counter my whole life since my dad owns it and makes the ice cream himself.”
She adds, “It was my first job, and I have continued working there throughout high school. Working at Goose Bros. over the summers has fostered some of my favorite memories, and I wanted to incorporate that into my pictures somehow. I love putting sprinkles on my ice cream and wanted to include them because they are so fun!“
Unusual Locations
Behind the Scenes
Haven laughs, “I love that you throw yourself into your work and put yourself in situations (like laying on a dirty floor or moving trash can) to capture angles that most people don’t see. It shows your dedication to capturing the most incredible shots!”
Shout-out to Haven’s friend, Cambree, for capturing these for me!!
