Vibrant colors, authentic emotion, waterfalls, and a pup— Callie and Ryan’s session made me so happy to be a Jim Thorpe engagement photographer!
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Callie shares, “I looked at a lot of different photographers, website after website, they all looked the same, until I looked at Lisa’s pictures! It was almost like love at first sight! I LOVE the brightness and vibrant colors she has in her pictures, they were unlike anyone else’s.”
Ryan adds, “Lisa is very creative and she brings a really unique perspective that I think that is going to make our engagement and wedding photos stand out and fit us as a couple.”
Callie smiles, “Within a couple of minutes of starting our first meeting over video chat, we were already laughing-off technical difficulties and talking about our pups (who were also joining in on our meeting) and I just knew she was a good fit! She’s outgoing like me and will do anything to get the perfect shot, we loved that!”
No Awkward Photos Here– Just Smiles and Laughter!
Callie & Ryan laugh, “Neither one of us is comfortable in front of a camera and tend to look awkward in photos, and so avoid them, but Lisa made us feel comfortable and had us laughing with each other the whole time which shows in our pictures. We both agreed that we had fun doing our engagement pictures!”
They agree, “We can pretty much guarantee our wedding pictures will be filled with smiles and laughter like our engagement pictures both by us and Lisa and some funny faces because that’s what we do! Lisa did a great job of capturing our personalities while making us feel comfortable and just having us talk like we always do.”
Waterfalls, Wineries, and Their Pup, Oh My!
She begins, “Lisa found the perfect elements to incorporate into our session… A beautiful waterfall and sipping on some wine from our favorite winery!”
Callie continues, “We’ve spent a lot of time in the Poconos throughout our relationship. We celebrated our 2nd anniversary with a weekend away in the Poconos exploring wineries and we love making day trips to visit wineries. We found our favorite winery on that trip… Blue Ridge! It was a preliminary idea to have our pictures there but we all agreed going to Jim Thorpe incorporated a lot of different things that we enjoy. Lisa suggested we bring wine for our pictures so of course we chose a bottle from blue Ridge!”
Callie adds, “We really wanted to incorporate our pup, Gunner, into our wedding and have him at our engagement pictures and Lisa was all for it! Gunner loves going on walks so much that sometimes he runs haha, he loves just being outside. He is always up for an adventure and a car ride and loves them even more when they end with him seeing his grandparents and other friends or ice cream, he loves his ice cream! We rescued Gunner at the end of August last year so we are really looking forward to creating a summer of memories as a family in addition of course to our wedding and honeymoon!”
Creative, Playful, Artistic, Even in the Rain!
Callie says, “Even though during our engagement pictures it was a cold, rainy day, Lisa wasn’t going to let that stop her! She used the weather to her advantage. That red cloudy-looking picture, she was on the ground and took that through a puddle, it was nuts but so freakin cool! We stopped at a building that was my favorite color to take pictures. It’s those things that only confirm that we made the best decision in choosing Rhinehart Photography as our Jim Thorpe engagement photographer.”
Their Relationship
Callie recalls, “When you go to a high school with 3,000 kids, there’s no way you can know everyone, not even half of them and so even though both of us were in high school ‘together’ we didn’t know the other one existed until many years after each of us graduated.”
She continues, “We found our match on Match– quickly realizing we had many mutual friends and knew a lot of the same people certainly helped break the ice and get us through that awkward beginning phase.”
Why Jim Thorpe?
Ryan says, “Callie and I both like going on long walks and exploring different parks and Jim Thorpe and the surrounding area fits that interest.”
Callie adds, “We also go off-roading on ATVs a lot and have been riding in Jim Thorpe many times before. We also knew we wouldn’t have any issues including Gunner in our engagement shoot there and may have had more of a hard time somewhere else and that was really important to us to have him in our photos.”
She smiles, “We are thankful for our Jim Thorpe engagement photographer, Lisa, for reaching out to another bride of hers who got married in Jim Thorpe to get ideas on where to go for our pictures!”
More of Callie & Ryan
Ryan shares, “Right away, I realized how sweet and genuine Callie is. Having someone like that in your life makes the bad days easier to get through. Neither of us take ourselves too seriously and always find ways to make each other laugh, which I think makes the relationship so easy.”
Callie smiles, “Awwww, Thanks babe! We do spend a lot of time laughing at ourselves and each other! I knew Ryan was gonna be someone who would stick around when after only a few weeks of talking I shared with him that my mom had just been diagnosed with breast cancer and he was always there for me. It was so nice having someone who cared so much in such a short amount of time and jumped right in during hard times.”
She continues, “We spent so much time sitting in the car talking and really getting to know each other early on and it was our favorite thing to do. We’d go out with no destination and next thing we knew it was time to head home and get some sleep. He makes me want to be a better person and is always there to lift me up when I feel defeated, gives me a reason to laugh when I’m crying, and smile when I’m sad.”
