This active family climbed a mountain *during their session* (yes their dog came too), captured a couple business shots for dad and even had a sunset nod to the parent’s **25th** anniversary– I adore being a pa family photographer and had so much fun with this incredible family!

Why Rhinehart Photography?
“That’s easy,” says Andrew. “Lisa has a unique ability to capture the relationship between people whether it’s how they look at each other, the tilt of their head, or just the right moment that tells a story.”
Meet the Family…
- Lisa, a singer and voice teacher, contracted Lisa to take photos in celebration of their family and her 25 years of marriage to Andrew.
- Andrew, a mental health counselor, loves spending as much time outdoors as possible – running, hiking, camping, and gardening.
- 19-year-old Alexander just finished his first year at college studying software engineering and enjoys playing trombone in Shippensburg University’s marching band.
- Theresa is a rising 3rd grader who loves sports and being outdoors, math, music, and, of course, reading.
- Szeles, our Vizla, joined our family almost 4 years ago. She is Andrew’s running partner.
Play First: My Secret to Getting Authentic Family Photos
Andrew chuckled, “I don’t usually like having my picture taken, but Lisa was really great at putting me at ease and finding ways for me to be myself during the shoot. Lisa was also very mindful of Theresa’s energy level and made sure to keep it light and exciting. Theresa could just read or play, and Lisa would catch the perfect moment.”

Authentic PA Family Photographer
“Lisa was definitely able to capture the love and also the silliness. We could just be ourselves in one of our favorite spaces, and Lisa was there to catch us having a wonderful time,” Lisa said.
Andy’s Business Website
“I named my practice ‘Falling Spring Counseling‘ for several reasons; the connection to nature – Falling Spring Creek runs just a couple blocks from my office. Nature: we’re part of it and it’s part of us. I find nature and especially water healing and centering – something I hope my patients also find in our work together. I’m grateful to work with artists like Lisa and my graphic designer Sarah Brooks who are able to translate this feeling into their media,” says Andrew.
Creative, Empowering Supportive Family Environment
“Wow,” laughed Lisa, “I had no idea how Lisa would capture the car drawing photos, but the angles she took them from told their own story of us as strong independent people as well as a loving family unit.”
“She also found themes and relationships even in what was happening around the art and what we drew that we weren’t really aware of in the moment,” says Andrew.
Looking up to her Big Brother
Lisa shares, “This photo of Theresa looking up at Alexander is quintessential Alex &Theresa! His look of bemused annoyance and her sheer joy at gazing up at her Big-B. With an almost 11-year age difference, it’s a bit like having 2 only children. They are so different, and yet they adore each other.”
Hiking to the Top of Pole’s Steeple
Andrew says, “Our favorite memories as a couple and as a family were spent hiking, camping, or working outdoors, so choosing to have our family photoshoot in a forest near a beautiful lake seemed like a perfect choice for us. Since Alexander enjoys rock scrambling, Pole Steeple was perfect.”
Lisa adds, “We are a very outdoorsy family, and we wanted a way to showcase us authentically in our element; to capture not only the romance of our years together as a couple but also the adventurous, creative, playful spirit of our family.”
Their Wedding Anniversary
Lisa smiles, “When we were dating, we used to talk about an elusive, faraway ‘someday’ when we would have a home and a family. Someday arrived, and we’re 25 years strong. Another saying we adopted early in our relationship is ‘Je t’aime plus qu’hier, mais moins que demains.’ I love you more than yesterday, but less than tomorrow. Here’s to 25 more years of tomorrows!”
Overall Experience with PA Family Photographer
Lisa says, “I have the joy of calling Lisa my friend. This is my 3rd photoshoot with her, and I’d have to say it was my favorite! This time I was able to share the fun, joyful experience with my family and even had my friend along for the hike!”
