Keith and Andrew’s intimate wedding at Bridgeton House was intimate, intentional, and filled with laughter and heartfelt emotion. As a Bridgeton House micro wedding photographer, my focus was on capturing the moments that mattered most— the joy, the connection, and the love at the center of it all.

Keith and Andrew share, “Everyone told us to invest in a good photographer, and we sure did! We loved Lisa’s creativity and research that went into our wedding. Lisa and Kris came prepared with energy, patience, and flexibility! We felt calm and at ease during the entire process because Lisa made it fun!”

“Several times, she showed our guest and us her point of view, and that immediately put nerves at ease. Lisa was open to our direction as well, and if we wanted a specific pose or location, she made it happen. She took the time to fix collars on shirts and lapels on jackets to make sure everyone looked their best.”

They continue, “We really hit the jackpot with Rhinehart Photography, because we had someone there during the entire process. Lisa helped develop our timeline for the wedding, which made planning everything easier for us later. Lisa was also super flexible, and we thank Kris for spending his birthday with us!”

Why Bridgeton House?

They say, “Keith is a big fan of water, and Andrew is a big fan of the woods and gardens; we felt that this combined two of the things that both of us love.

“We liked the idea that, instead of a traditional wedding day, the Bridgeton House would give us an entire weekend where we could make special memories with our family and friends. The setting was beautiful and calming, and the Bridgeton House staff did a wonderful job of helping us with all the planning and making us feel at ease.”

Meet the couple: Andrew & Keith

Andrew smiles, “We met like a lot of people these days — online. We had our first date in New Hope, and one of the first memories that I have of falling in love with Keith was when he fixed my eyebrow mid-conversation during our date. We joke about it to this day, and I mentioned it in my vows because it was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture that he didn’t even think twice about doing.”

Keith says, “ I knew Andrew was the one when I felt at ease with him on our first date. More specifically, I was driving him back to his car, and we were chatting for a bit, and that’s when I knew he was going to be the one, because I felt so comfortable with him. I also love how he planned our second date on our first date! It’s great having someone you can be silly, goofy, and be your authentic self around.”

They share, “Andrew is from Pennsylvania, and Keith is from New Jersey. We liked that the Bridgeton House was right by the bridge in both of our worlds.”

Friends & Family: Bridgeton House Micro Wedding Photographer

They share, “We both wanted to have our best friends involved. Andrew’s best friend, Tink, knows both of us very well and is a wordsmith, so it made perfect sense to have her be the voice on our special day. Keith has a love for poetry and thought it would be special to have his best friend Jenna read one of his favorite poems. Having our best friends there eased some of the wedding jitters and made our big day even more meaningful.”

Keith and Andrew continue, “We are both very close to our mothers, so we wanted to highlight them by having them escort us. And we are both close with our fathers, so we thought it would be a sweet moment to have them sign our marriage license during the ceremony. Our best friends wearing similar dresses was totally a happy accident and a fun memory from the day.”

Keith says, “We wrote our own vows and made sure everyone played a special role in our big day. Our best friends played major roles in reading and speaking about us. We had our dads sign our marriage license, and our moms escorted us down the “aisle”. It was just so nice to have the ability to include the people who matter to us in specific ways.”

Andrew adds, “One of the biggest conversations we have is about how opposites attract. Keith loves the ocean and bodies of water, and I love the mountains.”

Hw continues, “I talked about this during my vows, and this really sums up our relationship: ‘The interesting thing is that in the early stages of our relationship, we weren’t sure if we would work since we were really the opposite of each other. Over time, that became the beautiful part of our love, where our opposite natures allowed us to grow and become better versions of ourselves, not only for each other, but for the world. In essence, you are really the Ocean to my Mountain.” 🥹

Keith says, “Andrew remembers that I got very emotional during the delivery of my vows, to the point where I had to stop, compose myself, and Tink had to rub my back. Andrew told me that he could feel my love for him radiating during that moment.”

They share, “Representation matters to us as a gay couple. Seeing Lisa’s beautiful work as an LGBTQ+ photographer put us at ease when looking for someone who would understand us and showcase our love on our wedding day.”

At the Club (house)

Andrew shares, “I really wanted to capture the greenery and rustic nature of the B&B grounds. There was a tiny reading cottage that was very precious to me, so I was happy we were able to incorporate photos in there as well.”

Dockside Devotion (and dancing!)

Keith says, “I’m really fond of bridges, so I wanted to incorporate that as well as the water, so it was fun doing some photos on the dock. We both like intimate photos, such as one shot where we were both holding each other’s backs and staring at the water. We both really love photos that capture the spontaneity of the day.”

Nose Boops: It’s the little things

Andrew says, “I can’t explain it, but I had this uncontrollable urge to boop Keith’s nose with my finger. It was something I’ve never done before, but for some reason, I was inspired to do it during our entire wedding day. Also, having the quiet time with Keith and laughing together during our photoshoot will always be a highlight.”

They share, “We wanted something that could be private, spacious, and intimate. It’s kismet, really, because we were driving home from Keith’s nephew’s play one night and drove past the Stockton Inn, and Keith went, ‘Hey, that place looks pretty!'”

“We lucked out with a great coordinator at this space, who helped us with all the details. They made us feel right at home, and the food was DELICIOUS! The room was perfect, the service was amazing, and it just lined up perfectly.”

Keith and Andrew share, “There was so much love being given to us that it’s hard to pick just one quote that stands out, but we’re so grateful to have family and friends who understand us on so many levels.”

At the End of the Night

Andrew smiles, “My Google Maps always recommends navigation to the Bridgeton House, and I always say, ‘Keith, want to get married again?’ For me, it was a perfect weekend we spent with each other, and we could enjoy the next phase of life by ushering it in with important people in our lives.”

Keith adds, “Being married has strengthened our bond, and now we can continue to build our lives together as well as share in each other’s hopes and dreams.”
