The most beautiful skies in the most wicked weather. I’ll have to admit that high winds, drizzling rain and very low light are not my favorite shooting conditions, but thanks to the positive and resilient attitudes of Megan & Mike, a little creativity and the shelter of the barn at Best Farm on Maryland’s historic Monocacy Battlefield, we were able to not only pull off this shoot but also see some of the most unusual color and light I have used.

Linus proposed to April in Pine Grove forest, at the edge of Laurel Lake. It is a quiet, simple place with great depth & majesty, I feel that as a couple, they have similar qualities to the location. They enjoy simple pleasures, come across as being on the quiet side and having a great depth to them– it’s quite beautiful to see. Their timing was perfect with October’s bold leaves and bright sky.
