Concept:

Illuminating her journey
so she can guide others  

Started in the Trailer: I started her in a teal, flowy outfit that felt childlike & innocent. We shot at a vintage trailer, and had her bring the poetry she wrote as a teen, trying to articulate her circumstances. She was hiding, grounding, breaking free, fleeing…

Seeking & Abandoning Traditional Wealth: She wore a beige, ironed suit with snake print stiletto boots, showing the conformity and wild nature. We photographed at an exquisite mansion, and showed her feeling free at first, but then trapped, and escaping once again. I had her make a ‘pearl bracelet’ and joyfully rip it apart.

Free, Grounded Goddess: She wore brown and gold with a gold shawl and was surrounded by nature.  I prompted death and rebirth (and used white flower petals as both funeral and Spring). I prompted growth with her holding plants, healing/spirituality with a crystal, protection (by shielding a lit candle), day-of-the-dead Queen was a gift from the universe that I was present for, shadows and all….

“This was my second photo session with Lisa, and I couldn’t be happier with her work!

 

She is so creative and began the session by turning off the lights in the room and turning the LEDs on and to pink! The she put up a huge backdrop and moved all the plants to the front with natural light. She understood our vibe and how to translate it visually.

 

She was able to enhance it on the spot, elevating the store to feel even more dramatic and luxurious, giving it a really cool feel. After we closed it was customary for me to turn off the overhead lights and flip the leds to pink, Lisa brought that into our photo aesthetic and it totally worked! She was able to see my color before I was!

 

She came up with a detailed timeline, so we were able to capture so many concepts in just one day!”
