This rainy, wild country wedding featured puppies, country a mechanical bull, and more! This fearless bride climbed a hayloft, wore 3 dresses and rocked a bedazzled fanny pack– you definitely need to check out Amber & Colynn’s wedding day…
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Amber shares, “I have a bit of a ‘wild’ side so when I was looking for a wedding photographer it was important to me to have a photographer who was right there behind me to capture all my crazy ideas. When I saw Lisa’s photos in the Turkey barn, I knew she was the photographer for me! I wasn’t wrong about that, she was right there, supporting all my crazy ideas! When I climbed the barn ladder she was on the ground cheering me on and when I had the crazy idea to climb through the hayloft and hang out the barn door she was all ears. Of course, you can’t forget the mechanical bull photos!”
She smiles, “I hope that one of my fun, crazy, & wild ideas earns Lisa her next BIG photography award!“
Puppies and Antlers: Could it Be More “Them”?
I love the antlers mixed in with their vibrant, fall florals— so unique!
Amber says, “The antlers located in our wedding bouquets were all found on our family farms giving a touch of sentimental value as well as a touch of our mutual love for the great outdoors and love for hunting, especially whitetails on our family farm.”
She adds, “We also had 7 surprise guests fur the wedding: a litter of 3 one-week-old Golden Retrievers (Letty, Frank, & Jodi) & a litter of 4 one-week-old Bernese Mountain Dogs (Hunt, Lee, Hunter, & Moose).”
You can check out some of Amber & Colynn’s other puppies here!
*Three* Wedding Dresses!!
Amber had not 1, not 2 but 3 dresses for the day of her wedding!
- Her mother’s wedding dress (sentimental and perfect for holding puppies)
- Her ceremony gown (wait until you see the long lace sleeves)
- Her party dress (complete with shorts that came in handy)
Amber smiles, “My mother’s dress fit like a glove, so it was a sign from god that I had to put it on for photos with my mom and dad.”
She continues, “My mom was also gracious enough to let me take pictures with the puppies in it in case they decided to poop on me, but they were nice and didn’t, haha!”
Bridesmaids in the Loom Room!
Amber shares, “While ALL the buildings on John and Mary’s property are gorgeous, Mary picked the loom room for the girls and I to get ready in. On the wedding day, my bridesmaids were in the room prior to my arrival, and upon my arrival, my breath was taken away! The way the room was brought together by all the colors of yarn, our hangers, & our dresses. It was truly magical.”
She adds, “My girls and I all took time out of our busy lives to go dress shopping together and from Malvern to Erie over 4 months, 11 dress shops, 13 appointments & 3848484848 dresses later we were done dress shopping. My vision all came together on our wedding day in the loom room.”
Family Cabin and More Antlers 😉
Amber says, “The men’s getting ready room was at my family’s cabin that is now my mother and father’s home (since we kicked them outta their house).
She laughs, “It sounds worse than it really is. While they enjoy the nice quiet woods at night, they spend their days at our ‘zoo’ I mean house. It’s actually more of a zoo with up to 95 dogs/day, 4 kids, mom, dad, Colynn, myself, & clients running around!”
Wild Country Wedding Ceremony
Amber shares, “I wanted a barn-style wedding, but not just any barn or wedding venue. I wanted one that was sentimental and meaningful to myself, Colynn, & our relationship so shortly after our engagement, we went to our neighbors as a couple and asked if we could get married at their house & they gladly accepted. This barn has a lot of meaning to us: my parents previously owned it, we still store our hay & straw in it, we own & farm part of the original farm, & their home is the furever home to our retired Lauden Lab, Dixie. The location, the owners, the buildings, and the property were everything I could have asked for while the girls and I got ready and for our ceremony.”
She continues, “Our relationship is built on a foundation of hard work, communication, & support for each other’s businesses. I am lucky enough to be a part of Colynn’s business every step of the way and while the foundation of my business was built before we met, he continues to help me maintain and grow on that foundation!”
Amber laughs, “Colynn and I would have gotten together wayyyyy before we did it he didn’t drive red tractors before we met, haha!”
Amber is a “Green Tractor Person” as is her dad. Speaking of which…

Climbing the Hayloft!
If you want to have a Wild Country Wedding, this is a must!
Check out the picture below of Amber laughing and jumping from the hayloft while Colynn is chill straight-faced, hands in his pockets… I feel like it really captures something about these two!
Amber laughs, “It’s true… opposites attract!“
Amber’s Reception Outfit: Complete with Shorts and a Fanny Pack!
Amber smiles, “I am EXTRA & loved every part of each dress and its purpose on our wedding day, but my Fanny pack was by far my favorite wedding accessory. You’d have to know me personally to get it.”

Rainy Day? No problem!
We can’t control the weather, and I tell my couples, rain or shine, they will have gorgeous photos. This wedding was no exception…
Amber says, “Why aren’t rain dates a thing for weddings?!? I think people only tell you rain on your wedding day is good luck to make you feel better. The ceremony was not what I had planned, but rain or shine we were married!”
She shares, “I was a very hopeful bride the week leading up to our wedding that the weather forecast would change, but the day before, reality sat in and I made a last-minute decision to order an additional tent to make room in our original tent for the mechanical bull and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! Our tent company was able to deliver and it all came together!“
Mr & Mrs Colynn Fry
Amber says, “Our reception was held in a tent on our home property that has been in my family for 6 generations. Our home sits on 100 beautiful acres that are the home to our businesses (Fry Farms, Back Road Boarding, Lauden Labs, Murray’s Mountains, Murray’s Cream Of The Crop Goldens, Rhonda’s Rottweilers, & Kountry Kuts) and “kids” 15 dogs: Lia, Ember, Zeus, Athena, Lela, Bianca, Bullet, Gisele, Rory, River, Letty, Huntley, Mousse, Oaklee, & Wylder.”
I love their entrance! Everyone cheering, her sunglasses and signiture fanny pack, as well as wardrobe change and look on Colynn’s face as he ducks below the tent…
ALL the desserts!!
Amber smiles, “Our wedding cake tradition, Amber style, consisted of a his/hers cheesecake, whoopie pies, macaron stand, & ice cream truck!”
She adds, “Our dessert display was named after our dogs! Each dog had its own dessert named after them that even matched their coat color(s). By far my FAVORITE part of wedding planning!“
Wild Country Wedding Traditions
The bouquet toss, garter removal, and all the other traditions were totally embraced during this wild country wedding!
Mechanical Bull: Wild Country Wedding Inspiration
If you want to have some fun at your wedding reception, I definitely recommend a mechanical bull! I feel like it was the highlight of the night, entertainment for the riders and the watchers, too!! So unique and really was perfect with the theme. Totally unforgettable. I was hoping to sneak in a ride myself, but by the time I was off the clock it was already down…
Sparkler Send Off
Amber shares, “I love fireworks, but keeping the dogs’ healthy and safe as my top priority, the sparklers were a great alternative!“
