Why Rhinehart Photography?
Torie shares, “We are so pleased that we chose Rhinehart Photography– seriously, there are NO WORDS, I just can’t. Our photos are absolutely unbelievable and everything we wanted and more. Everyone loves them. When we got the sneak peek back we just had to get them printed and already have 2 huge three-foot prints framed. They are absolutely stunning, just jaw-dropping!”
Jim shares, “For photography, we wanted awesome photos, but also to keep it simple, and not spend a ton of time on portraits. We wanted most of our day to be spent enjoying the people and moments and just having Lisa capture those and she really did and allowed us to spend a small amount of time on portraits and still get amazing shots. Oh and it was super important to have Hudson (our dog) involved of course.”
Torie added, “When our planner initially suggested you to us, we were blown away by the uniqueness of your photos and the way you could really capture a party atmosphere and you are definitely delivered!”
Harrisburg Civic Club wedding Details and Bridal Preparations
Torie smiled, “I knew I wanted my florals to be berry-toned and very unique. I wanted a dramatic statement and wow, they were spectacular!”
Torie teared up a bit, “My mom passed several years ago and my Auntie stepped right in. She means the world to me and I was so incredibly excited to have her at my side on my wedding day!”
Groom (and pup!) Prep at the Harrisburg Capitol
Jim shares, “Two reasons The Civic Club of Harrisburg was the perfect wedding venue for Torie and I. First, it was downtown and downtown Harrisburg which has been an important place for us. Also, they allow dogs, and Hudson is seriously the child we never had, so having him there on our wedding day was key.”
Torie adds, “Our relationship blossomed and grew in downtown Harrisburg. Jim saw me heading into to Salsa dance downtown and recognized me (my petite stature and hair honestly) and joined me at the club. He took me out for my birthday a few weeks later and now, seven years later and we are here!”

The ceremony itself was so beautiful. Meaningful, heartfelt, and incorporated their little family perfectly. Hudson even stood up front!
Traditional Photos, too!
While I am known for my candid, creative wedding photography, I knew they wanted more formal photos and that we wanted to get those accomplished quickly so that they could get to their cocktail hour. I love a couple who knows what they want and help them schedule their day accordingly!

Torie laughs, “Our overall vibe is a little Gatsby, haha! Just this fun, elegant, eclectic global dinner party with a rich berry-toned color palette. I was hoping for an end-of-the-night look that was a total show-stopper.”
She adds, “Our wedding planner was absolutely amazing! She nailed it! She pulled everything off and was such an integral part of everything happening the way that it did. Walking into the venue– the flowers were spectacular! They were unbelievable! We wanted a statement, something different and unique.”
A First Dance to Remember…
Torie and Jim hired a Band, Cruise Control, to perform throughout their event. They provided entertainment at cocktail hour, and the reception and really elevated the entire vibe, and even brought in a bit of that Gatsby feel!
Torie shares, “Our first dance was really the symbol of the last seven years, having friends and family surrounding us was so important! We really did soak in that moment!”
Salsa Dancing Lessons for the Wedding Guests!
Torie Salsa danced in downtown Harrisburg weekly for nearly a decade. It was an important place for her because she made so many friends there (many of whom were at the wedding).
She had a special treat for her guests and invited her salsa-dancing teacher to give everyone a lesson in the middle of her wedding reception! People were so tickled!
And wow, such a stunning outfit change! That dress is 100% Gatsby!
At the end of the night…
Torie smiles, “At the end of the night– looking back we couldn’t believe how perfect everything was and how beautifully everything came together! Everyone had an amazing time! It was a total dream come true!”
