A Vintage Hollywood Glam engagement session at The historic Majestic Theater in Gettysburg…
Marta & James are old souls, they love classic Hollywood movies and anything timeless, historic or glamorous, so what better place to meet for their engagement session than a vintage 1920’s theatre?
This couples values and ideals united them as a couple and many of those same ideals have been brought to life on the silver screen. Movies like It’s a Wonderful Life, Casablanca & Gone with the Wind resonated with them in many ways, and not to mention those classic film scores– so romantic! We started their photo session at the Gettysburg Train Station…
We moved from the train station to the Majestic, a revival-style theatre originally built in 1925 with crystal chandeliers, elaborate draperies, vintage movie posters and a grand staircase. The space itself is stunning, but what about this couple? Talk about red carpet glam…
Marta & James walked up on stage together, I wanted to use the ghost light that was on the stage to be my main light source for an image that would light the draperies and silhouette the couple. This dramatic lighting called for some dramatic movement, Marta is Portuguese, so showing off some traditional Portuguese dance moves was the perfect touch and definitely caught Jame’s attention 🙂
Marta and James it was such a treat to get to know the two of you and see your vintage movie concept come to life. I wish you all the very best in all of your movie moments to come!
