🦢🦢 Stunning black and white themed Middleburg Barn wedding with the most fitting surprise guests! You will see close family ties, dedicated friends, and an incredible sunset from this Middleburg Barn Wedding Photographer! I’d love to hear how many places you spot *pearls* and what you think of the story behind them!
Why Rhinehart Photography?
Amanda shares, “We needed the best day of our lives to be flawlessly captured. When we discussed priorities for the wedding, photography was at the top. Lisa is the only person we trust with our whole hearts, knowing our day would be captured in the most beautiful and authentic way. A huge plus is that Lisa has been in our lives for a while now and we are so comfortable with her!”
She continues, “It began with my senior portraits in 2014, to multiple friend’s weddings I was in, my sister’s wedding and now mine! Her photography has this vibrancy and life-like quality to them, practically transporting viewers into the photograph itself! We want to feel all the emotions flood back to us as we look at our wedding photographs and relive every scent, every smile, and every breath we took that day.”
Cameron says, “Creative photography means a lot to us. We wanted photos that are essentially pieces of art that we can hang up in our home. As the years progress, we can look back on one of the most important days of our lives and share that with future generations.”
Childhood Pearls
Amanda smiles, “I wore the pearls my godfather would give me every year since I was a young girl.”
I loved how pearls and black and white were two themes that ran throughout the day and brought everything together!
First Look with Family & Familiar Faces for Me!
When I arrived at Amanda’s wedding, I saw so many familiar faces! I’ve previously photographed:
Cam & His Groomsmen
Cameron shares, “Given our profession, I can say without a doubt that my groomsmen are brothers for life because I trust them with mine. They have my back no matter what.”
Middleburg Barn Wedding First Look
Cameron shares, “I cried seeing Amanda because I had the most beautiful woman standing in front of me. She’s my other half and I am so lucky I get to spend the rest of my life with her.”
Creative Middleburg Barn Wedding Photographer
Amanda says, “One of our priorities in choosing a wedding venue was getting that “feeling.” We walked into Middleburg Barn and felt butterflies in our stomach, and saw instant visions of our wedding day. We loved the airy, bright, and spacious atmosphere that Middleburg Barn had.”
She continues, ” I was most excited to experience the ceremony space, as the water from the waterfall terrace trickled in the background. From the Swarovski crystal chandeliers, lush grass leading up to the pond with swans and rolling hills in the background of the venue, it was the perfect space for us!”
🦢Birds of a Feather🦢
Amanda shares, “The swans being at the pond on our wedding day was just perfect! Swans mate for life so that is a pretty great symbol to have on our big day! I love that you were able to incorporate them into our photos!”
You’ll probably have to look closely to see them in the second photo…
Middleburg Barn Wedding Ceremony
I loved the contrast of the white petals against the dark shadows during the processional. And how adorable is this flower girl!?! So special to me that I was there for her parents’ wedding and engagement, too!!
Wedding Vows Bring Happy Tears
Cameron smiles, “I don’t want to be cliche, but it was love at first sight. We met at work, doing what we love. On our second date, we sat in these rocking chairs and I knew I was in love with her. I knew I wanted to marry her when I saw her walking down the aisle at her sister, Brooke’s wedding.
He continues, “I appreciate how caring she is, she is so kind and loving and always thinking of me.”
Amanda shares, “I appreciate how much I can confide in Cameron. He’s my safe space that I can always come home to. I trust him with my life and never feel judged for truly being myself.”
She adds, “Our emotions ranged from being a little nervous to say our personal vows, excitement, to tears of joy and feeling flooded with so much love, it was emanating in the air. We are so blessed that it was truly a perfect day!”
“I do!!” at this Black & White Themed Middleburg Barn Wedding
Since they had a black and white theme, I really embraced that in their photo processing as well. I kept copies in color so they ‘d have those, but also gave them a ton of black and white options, too.
Amanda says, “We chose the black and white theme because we wanted it to be timeless, elegant, dramatic, and unique. The contrast between my white dress and all of the black details and attire was stunning.”
Middleburg Barn Wedding Reception
Amanda smiles, “We tried to incorporate so many inside jokes, movie/song references, and little Easter eggs about our life. I wore the pearls my godfather would give me every year since I was a young girl. The table numbers all had a name on the back and fun facts about us. Some signage had a quote from my favorite show (The Office) and his favorite movie (Top Gun). Our koozies had a funny quote, referencing us being in public safety as well as the groomsmen entrance song being bad boys. All of the music was also carefully selected and a lot of them were songs I would listen to while Cameron and I were starting our relationship. I would listen to them, and think of him.”
Behind The Scenes: Two Photographers, Two Perspectives
Having two photographers allows us to be two places at once and give two different vantage points which is really nice. It also allows me to really aim for the stars and try some unusual angles and perspectives without losing the more traditional view of the same moment.
Why on earth was I behind the maid of honor for a bit when she gave her speech? You can see that I was using my 70-200mm lens to get beautiful bokeh from the sting lights behind her, while also incorporating her fabulous hair, detailing on the back of her gown, smile and the microphone to show she is giving her speech. I look pretty pleased with myself, haha! We of course have shots without me in the background, lol, but I thought this one was fun and told the BTS story.
Photography coverage of the Bouquet Toss & Flower Girl Fun!
Amanda and Cam wanted us to spend most of the time on portraits and candid moments during their ceremony, so we weren’t there very long for dancing, but did capture the bouquet toss and this little cutie out on the dance floor and several other superfun moments!
Behind the Scenes
What you see & what I see (yes that is the pond with the swans and smoke from the Canadian wildfires!)!
Amanda smiles, “Doing our sunset photos was such a fun time for me. We got to step away from the chatter and music, and just be alone in this peaceful field. It was so surreal and he looked so handsome in that golden light.”
